Dyann Davis Gunter- born in Jackson, MS has drawn for as long as she can remember. To further her education in art she attended USM, majoring in Fine Art and then Memphis Academy of Art her senior year. She also studied with Marie Hull at the age of 18, and later with Daniel Greene.
Dyann worked in the printing industry until 4 years ago, wanting to be a full time painter. Even though she feels she is a realist at heart she prefers painting abstracts.
She presently has paintings in the Mississippi Governors' Mansion, Baptist Hospital, Blair E. Batson and several banks and hospitals in Mississippi. She has painted professionally for John Richard for over 10 years. John Richard makes reproductions. They sell them all over the country. Horchow and Neiman Marcus carry Dyanns work.
